Flat Branch Home Loans is proud to announce a major milestone for its Flex Funds and Agency Credit program: 1,385 families have achieved homeownership with the program’s assistance since its launch just two years ago.

The Flex Funds program was created to make homeownership more accessible by offering up to $4,000 in agency credit to qualified buyers. This credit can be applied toward a down payment or closing costs, reducing upfront expenses and lowering monthly mortgage payments.

“These past few years most markets have struggled significantly with housing affordability. The combination of high home prices, low housing inventory, and higher mortgage rates has continued to plague homebuyers, but particularly lower-income households have been hit the hardest. Flat Branch Home Loans saw an opportunity to provide assistance in making the dream of homeownership possible, and in August of 2023 create the Flex Funds program,” said Matt Brand, Director of Capital Markets. “We’ve had over 1,300 families take advantage of this initiative, accelerating the path to owning a home for first time home buyers. The impact of this program in the communities we live and serve have been amazing.”

Program Requirements

Flex Funds is available to qualified buyers who meet the following criteria:

Area median income limits apply

Single family purchase transactions

30 year fixed rate terms

One borrower on transaction must be first-time home buyer
